Glasses Frame Size Guide
AAre you planning to buy a pair of sunglasses, but don't know what kind of sunglasses you fit? Want to go online to try them on, but too much trouble and no time? Don't worry, here you will know how to measure your size scientifically and conveniently to find the ideal frame for your mind.
Lens Width, Bridge Width and Temple (Arm) Length
Lens Width
To find the perfect size for you, you need to measure several key data-lens width, bridge width and temple (arm) length.
Start by measuring the width of the frame. This refers to the horizontal width of each lens at its widest point. It is usually between 40 mm and 60 mm. It is important to note here that too wide frames will make your eyes look too close together, while narrow frames will make your eyes look wide.
tips
1. A person's eyes should be located in the center of the lens.
2. If you think your glasses look too narrow, you can choose a smaller size frame. Otherwise, you should go for a larger one.
Bridge Width
The frame should fit comfortably flush with your nose.
The position of your nose can help determine which frame style is best for you. If your nose is high on your face, then an eyeglass style with a nose bridge that is level with the brow line of the frame will look best.
Note
1. If your nose is slightly lower on your face (such as a flatter nose), then an eyeglass frame with a lower bridge and curved brow line will better suit your features. Take your time with this step, as the correct choice of nose bridge size and position will determine the fit of your frames.
2. Frame sizes can range from 15mm to 22mm, with the smaller sizes being suitable for those with closer eye positions. On the other hand, if you have wide eyes, you choose a frame with a nose bridge size of 18 to 22 mm.
Temple (Arm) Length
The temple length is also the length of the temples and refers to the measurement of the "arm" of the frame in millimeters, from each screw to the top of the temple, including the curved part that rests on the ear. The length of the temples is usually 120 mm to 150 mm. Common sizes sizes: 135mm, 140mm, 145mm and 150mm.
Let's Read Together
We often see three numbers inside the frame, such as 48-19-140, which refers to the width of the frame, the width of the nose bridge and the length of the temples.
